I will find a new team to root for if they do!

I mean it seems like he is a good blocker so that always helps in getting more playing time

I'm just guessing he's a good blocker. Alabama was mainly a running team.

Combine Analysis
STRENGTHS Solid build. Good hands and concentration -- extends outside his frame and makes the difficult catch. Fine route savvy -- sells his routes with stems and nods. Understands how to get open. Good sideline awareness -- dots the "i." Established rapport with the quarterback is noticeable (is the first receiver sought on broken plays) and keeps working to come free. Very solid personal and football character. Trustworthy, accountable and dependable.
WEAKNESSES Has short arms. Does not pop out of his breaks or create separation with burst and acceleration. Struggles some defeating the jam. Can show more urgency as a blocker in the run game. Breaks few tackles after the catch.
BOTTOM LINE Quicker-than-fast possession receiver with trusted hands a quarterback cherishes in critical situations. Could develop into a reliable, third-down option route runner. Is best with free releases in the slot.
---good point on blocking. Meachem and Devery both excelled in this. Cody Latimer (Pg 1 thread) was noted as an excellent blocker.

He graded out as the best run blocker on our team by a wide margin(PFF scores of 3.1 to 1.9 by Watson and 1.8 by Brown, the only thing he did even a little well).
Looking at how poorly our line played in the run game, that's not surprising.

do you ever post links? or just always copy and paste?
Posted on 4/14/14 at 10:19 pm to Lester Earl
I'd say links 75+% of the time. Most of the rest I think people get when you say per rotoworld, from Larry Holder, or in this case Combine Analysis, etc. You're the only one who ever complains.

I'm wondering if they mean he doesn't set up blocks well or isn't as physical as they would like when blocking?
who knows? they gotta leave a cliff hanger somewhere in the there I guess.

Going back to the blocking thing and PFF scores, you may or may not be surprised to know that Graham was our worst run blocker. Colston didn't do well either, and Harris is terrible in the eligible role run blocking.
The only other player of note was Evans who finished second worse. But we all know the injury story and it's a lot easier to go backwards and catch a guy when you have a bum back/leg(though I imagine still extremely painful, but the defender initiates the contact so you have no choice) then it is to try to drive a 300+ lbs. guy forward.

Yeah not sure if he'll be what Nick Toon wants to be or what Nick Toon is.

just never know how much water any of it holds because i never know who is writing it. Some times it looks like you, the other times i have no clue.
and it's against board rules to just copy and paste and not give the author any credit

Is that a surprised confusion or did you not understand who I meant(Meachem)?
He's VERY good at it. Perfect play action receiver(remember the super bowl year?). That was the same role he filled last year, just with less snap.

I think Norwood ran a pretty fast 40 at the combine.
surprised me.
but then again, McCarron isn't the best at firing the ball down field. Its like he's always putting a little too much air under a lot of his throws.
so a lot of the time, Norwood would look slower.

Oh snap, he joined the order of the arrow.

I just want to know who the author is. I really don't care if he links it or not.
I've always assumed that no link= the poster is the actual author. But most of the time its obvious he isn't. Would be nice to see who is actually writing scouting reports he links.
For instance, the Lattimer thread below looks like there are 2 different scouting reports, and i have no clue who wrote either one of them.

I guess I could have given you the option of both because I was surprised to learn that.
But it really stresses the struggles in the run game early and that even though we turned it around later we basically broke even(though still leaning towards the negative).
