It is one. It's aged not so well, sort of like Jerry Lewis movies, but it has a certain charm.

I think it will, as will the sequel. AV:WNC is one of the few sequels that is as good as (even arguably better) than the first one.
Both are almost infinitely quotable, and even though the movies themselves may not have held up too great (though I think they have held up fine), the humor holds up nicely. Sure, talking out of your arse isn't as funny as it was when I was younger, but a lot of the jokes and humor in both movies are still pretty solidly hilarious. And like Freauxzen said, quotability alone will keep these two movies in the minds of audiences for a long time.
