Good, glad to see the younger generation appreciating classic rock.

I grew up on it.

Love southern rock (but hate country).

I actually have a story about how I kinda stopped listening to rock in the early 2000s and Rock Band got me back into it.

90s is probably still my favorite period (grunge ya know) but I love all kinds of rock.

The guy in the Loomis jersey is the same guy who dresses in the Halo and Optimus Prime costume.

I saw this article by Trip that repeats a lot of the stuff Holder said but added an interesting tidbit:

Offseason going as planned

quote:

When asked how many of those items the Saints have hit, Loomis said, “We’ve hit a lot of them. We always do. We don’t hit every item, but we hit almost all of them.”

quote:

“I feel like we’ve executed our plan well,” Loomis said. “Whether that’s a good plan or not remains to be seen. But we feel like it is.”

Now that's not to say the items didn't have to be adjusted, but it's good to see that they have a detailed plan every offseason and almost always get the job done.

It's pretty amazing how well they fill the holes before the draft. It may not always be your #1 choice or a guy you're really depending on but it allows a freer BPA approach in the draft. I'm guessing they let Center slide (could still get Goodwin, even if later) cuz it's a pretty strong crop available from the 2nd to 4th Rd.

Nothing greater than 70's rock.
Height, weight, 40 times or metrics it didn't matter.
The clothes were horrid but the music was the

Right my theory is they are waiting until after the draft(and maybe some OTAs to see if the picks are legit or need work) on guys like Meachem, Rice, and Goodwin.

Those would likely be 1 year players(Rice maybe 2) on minimum deals so they'd have to be replaced next year, so you may as well see if you can get a more long term solution first.

And yeah this year I feel they are even better off than ever as far as being able to go BPA.

Really think about it. What position is going to come in and hands down be a starter? What position would maybe have a chance to start or play about half the snaps?

In that first category I have to say none. Aside from the draft being a crap shoot, there is no player at 27 that would definitely be an automatic starter over anyone we have.

In the second category, I could see wide receiver, center, halfback, and linebacker being possible. Maybe give corner, defensive tackle, and guard an outside shot. And of those only center and guard would be a full time job.

Wrong board!

I hate when whinny damn rock fans come on the ST board with their bullshite about favorite music genres. I guess if the music didn't come from the 90s rock era it's not worth a shite! Take that shite elsewhere. Country music might have started off slow in the 70s and 80s, but it held its own after that. All you country music haters piss me off.

After all of the disagreement on the "Ingram tweet" thread, I couldn't help myself.

not #27 but I have five Centers I think would be the fav to start over Lelito right away. What round they take one will say a lot about their outlook on Lelito.

Ideal is a guy that could slide over to guard when able to pare some Grubbs/Evans payroll.

That's part of the question though. Any rookie center would be at best a favorite to start, but still no guarantee based on what we already have.

Also, why not leave the rookie center at center(whether he gets the job year one or year 2) and let Lelito take over at guard since he's a guard?

Why go through the process of looking for yet another center, especially since you can draft a guard instead?

I think Center is less important... lelito could maybe be a pretty solid center... but maybe a mediocre possibly below par guard long term speaking. Put lelito at center and get a better guard than what lelito would be at guard.

I could see that too, but the point is why slide a center over to guard instead of just getting a guard? That logic baffles me.

that's a solid plan as long as Lelito is up to par. We've heard they like him. That's all I have to think they are planning on him having any role. I haven't seen enough performance to have any real faith that he is a player to count on.

That's the only reason for not envisioning Lelito as a starter yet. Also some of these Centers have othe OL experience- perhaps a smoother position transition. If a Center slid over in a year or two, replacing Centers isn't quite as spendy as FAs or in draft capital too.
