Grats to the Cajuns on their success! I am one LSU fan that has always thought ULL should be allowed to call themselves UL. As long as they were prepared to take charge of the UL system and administer it themselves, the way LSU does for the LSU system.

Back to the topic, Louisiana is the clear cut #2 right now. Anyone who disagrees needs to take off the purple and gold glasses. In no way are we saying we're remotely close to LSU, cause we're not. We are making some of these guys jealous though. You know the ones that show up in every Cajun thread to shite on us.

ULL hasn't made the NCAA tourney as an at large since the early 80s and has yet to field a ranked football team. They take c $8 million from the taxpayers to run their program.
They barely beat Tulane in the NOLA bowl, they made the NCAA tourney because they won a low-major conference tourney and were the 3rd best team in the state after being awful the year before (I know they beat Tech, but Tech was better). Their football team is nowhere near as good as the Tech teams of 2 and 3 years ago.
But they've always been #1 at running their mouths with the least bit of success.
Prove it; show some staying power. ULL currently has the 2nd to best teams, but that's about all you can say.

There's some insecure shite being posted in here. ULL, nor the fans, are claiming that they are up there with LSU. The success the school is having with athletics should be noted though. They have vastly improved in all areas, and will continue to do so. I don't understand why some LSU fans, or fans of others schools in the state, have to shite on everything ULL. It's pretty ridiculous.
