It's one of those songs, with a such a distinctive guitar riff, when you hear it, you have to drop whatever you are doing and turn it up

the entire album is great...

1. "Down to the Waterline"
2. "Water of Love"
3. "Setting Me Up"
4. "Six Blade Knife"
5. "Southbound Again"
6. "Sultans of Swing"
7. "In the Gallery"
8. "Wild West End"
9. "Lions"

I must say one thing though, as a big Dire Straits fan, I personally think Money for Nothing is awful...

Knopfler is such an underrated guitarist. Great songwriter too.

Had forgotten how many good songs they have until reading this thread.

I don't think I can pick one. They're all outstanding.

I don't think it's awful but as an 80's kid, I just got burned out on it. That song and video was everywhere.

Romeo & Juliet, plus Walk of Like are two of my favorites. I tend to prefer Knopfler's solo work though.

Some tasty guitar playing in this as well.

Knopflers style is just so cool. Such a fluid sound. I've had to steal a few of those licks and incorporate them into my playing.

Sultans of Swing, though a popular hit it has staying power and a unique nostalgic sound. That nostalgic sound was not just now but when I heard it as a kid.
