Thinking about getting a side job, strictly part time. I make plenty money to pay the bills at my full time job, but I’ve got free time on weekends and after work and would love extra cash. Especially considering my wedding and honeymoon coming up in a few months. No shame in grinding for more money.

Anyone have any ideas of something I could do in my free time to earn a little extra cash? Has to be legal though ;)

I know people that have done retail or worked in restaurants to fill time away from work. IMO though, screw that. If I was to do something to earn money away from work, it would have to be something I enjoy.

Do you have any hobbies you could make money off of? I'm pretty good at detailing cars and doing basic mechanical work on them, so occasionally I will offer my services to friends and family members to make some extra money.

Deliver pizza. A co worker of mine has done it off an on for a while now if he's in a pinch. Claims its a lot more cash then you'd believe.

Depending on where you live, you could become an Uber driver.

If you're strong at high school level math (Geometry, Algebra, Trig) and know anyone who works at a high school, get them to refer kids to you for tutoring on evenings/weekends. I do this and charge a minimum of $40/hr. Even if I only get 4 hours a month, it's still a nice chunk of change (usually cash) in my pocket. You can do other subjects too, but math is less subjective and seems easier to explain to kids.

If you've got a graduate degree, try an adjunct instructor position at a local community college.

Rent out bouncy houses???

I'd imagine that has to make a good bit of money. A buddy of mine and I delivered/picked up those for a family friend of his one summer. He paid us $100 a house.

So I'd imagine he was renting them out for $500-$1k a day

ETA: The ones with the ball pits in them fricking suck donkey nuts. Such a pain in the arse to clean up when done

Painter.

As in Benjamin Moore, not Carvaggio.

Paint one interior room every Saturday, pick up $250-300 for your labor.

Grass is starting to grow and people are lazy as shite. A guy I work with does this on the side and rakes in an easy 20k cash a year.
