Speaking of The Damned, this always made me laugh....at them. Was that guy going for some kind of skunk dracula look?

[link=(www.youtube.com/watch?v=OQuWOVp2btg?)]Boys (Summertime Love)- Sabrina[/link]
quote:
Part of the success of the song is due to its music video, filmed at the Florida hotel in Jesolo (Veneto, Italy). In it, Sabrina splashes about in a swimming pool, while her bikini top keeps sliding down, thus revealing her nipples.
During an interview with Nino Firetto on the Music Box program on Super Channel in late 1988 Sabrina explained that the video for "Boys" was originally created to be a segment in a magazine show. This was Sabrina's explanation of why its style was more closely matched that of Italian magazine shows of the time (more overtly sexy) than that of the traditional music video.

the actual name of that song is Welcome to Paradise. It was the B-side to Headhunter on the 12" remix. It ended up getting played just as much and probably became more popular. The Headhunter 12" was the most popular selling record of Wax Trax.

I know we already covered the "lost" part on this thread, but many of these were never "hits" either...

agree
well, that's pretty much what all the 20/30 somethings always do on this board. they start spouting out tracks on albums that they discovered last week, but have zero recollection of the era. just because 'you' like it, and think it should be a hit doesn't mean...
nevermind
just put these songs in the 'What are you listening to thread'

Guilty.
But in my defense these songs were huge if you hung out at The Bengal or Xanthus (before it turned gay) and anyone from that era would recognize them right away.
But yes.. Definitely less mainstream 80s..

My buddy DJ at power tools for a little bit.
I won't turn this thread into industrial music b/c I could probably go forever listing tracks.
With your Houston ties, do you remember this one?
