Dieng making Pek expendable?

Dieng's value
Dieng's sudden and impressive emergence has created an asset for Minnesota that it hasn't had recently -- a valuable trade chip. And it's not Dieng. It's Pek.
Because of Dieng's above-the-rim defensive presence, he's a better complement to Love in Minnesota's frontcourt. So, naturally, teams with rim-protecting power forwards could become intrigued if Pek becomes available. Pekovic is a legitimate first/second option low-post player who now has a terrific turnaround jumper. He's also a solid low-post defender and rebounder and one of the elite offensive glass eaters in the league.
Think about the teams who need someone like that. Imagine him partnering with an athletic phenom like Anthony Davis in New Orleans. Or alongside Tristan Thompson in Cleveland, with Kyrie Irving running ballscreens with him. Pek could allow Derrick Favors to move to the power forward spot full time in Utah, perhaps helping him reach the level of play everyone expected for him. He'd also work well next to Al Horford or Joakim Noah -- two gifted defenders who can play both post positions on either end of court.

Not sure what Minnesota would want for Pek, but probably nothing that we have to offer. Anyways, thought I would post the article.

We could offer Holiday? Then the Wolves could flip Rubio somewhere else or play him off the bench. I know it sounds a bit extreme, but we are stuck with Gordon and Evans for at least one more season. We could start them in the backcourt. It hasn't looked that bad the latter part of the season. Pekovic and Davis could be a really devastating combo. If Gordon can defend PGs, Evans can run point. Just depends on who we would target at SF. We'd need to hit the jackpot there to bring it all together..

Pekovic is not the center we are looking for. We want a cheaper rim protecting rebounder. He's an ok rebounder but he has a terrible 1.1 block percent. For comparison, Lopez and Smith were in the 4-5 range last year and AD is up to a crazy 6.7% this season. Pek just doesn't fit what this team needs to compliment AD and Ryno. Of the non bargain guys Asik is probably more what we need.

Not to be a dick, but I literally posted a thread on this exact subject a few days ago.
