Gotta love that UltimateTard is saying he can't figure out why people keep bringing up the "Cards Fans Are Da Best" yet he was the first one to mention it in this thread when it literally had not a damn thing to do with the subject of the OP.

The fan flips Adams off in his face as Adams is sprawled out on the tarp. So Adams gives him a bit of a "frick off" shove to the chest that didn't hurt anything. Then the fan flipped Adams off as Adams walked back to the field. This isn't a story. If it had come to blows, that would have been a story, but it didn't, so it isn't.

The first I ever heard about the Cardinals fans being the best in baseball was many years ago during a broadcast on ESPN. It was not "bestowed on Cardinals fans by Cardinals fans." This line of bullshite has been perpetuated by imbeciles and butthurt fans of other teams ever since articles and sportscasters began to say it. Whether it's true or not, I don't really care. Fans of other teams should just do everything to avoid being the Phillies fans and be satisfied with that. That's what I do.

This thread is proof of the perils of being on top. So many people in this thread hate the Cardinals for being the Cardinals. They are like Duke or the Yankees in the early 2000s. Sustained excellence breeds envy and it's pretty clear the majority of the people on here who are actually trying to argue that Matt Adams is a tPOS for what appears to be nothing more than a "yeah yeah" type shove are showing they are unable to contain themselves at the first sign of any issue with the Cardinals, no matter how minuscule.
I am a devoted and lifelong Cardinals fan, and I didn't even know about this until okie, who is probably the biggest Cardinals hater this side of the Mississippi and certainly on this board, showed the .gif in an effort to troll the StL fanbase. Problem is that it has become more than a troll thread and people are actually showing their rustled jimmies as a result of the fact that whomever they cheer for isn't as good as the Cardinals.
Don't worry. It's cyclical. The Cards will fall from glory some time soon and it will be another team's chance to shine. I just hope the Cards can avoid a 1990s type run.

I'm a Reds fan. To me, it was nothing. But I'll guarantee you, if that were an opponent who did that to the Cards fan, especially someone from the Reds or Cubs, y'all would be going crazy.

He probably would have been booed given the hatred that St. Louis feels toward him. He is a piece of shite, even if he does play hard.
But that situation is totally different. Matt Adams never called the Reds "little bitches" or basically called them out after getting his arse handed to him with a whopping .100 batting average for the series. Adams never started a fight which ended with his teammate ending the career of a member of the Reds.
There's a lot of animosity there that is related to past experiences between the teams and fans that is completely unrelated to a fan catching a ball in foul territory, sticking his middle finger in the player's face, getting a light shove, and then flipping the bird to the player as he walked back to the field.
God damn this is getting blown out of proportion.

If it was Brandon Phillips, maybe. Maybe. If it was Joey Votto, probably not. If it were Nyjer Morgan back when he played for the Brewers, definitely. I might have slugged him had he come into the stands. I fricking hate that guy. God, I fricking hate that guy.

Understand that there is really one culprit of that: Mizzoukills. The rest are pretty humble, including myself. Despite my post about the Cardinals being on top right now, it's pretty clear from my post history that I have a tempered love for my team. Your post history suggests a lot of hatred for Mizzoukills, which translates into a hatred for the Cardinals; but rest assured, kills is an aberration.
