The most ridiculous thing I have ever seen was the last day of that 1998 season.
The day started with the projected BCS championship being UCLA vs. Tennessee.
Then UCLA lost to an average Miami team. Edgerrin James went apeshit. That made it K-State vs. Tennessee.
Then K-State blew a two touchdown in the Big 12 Championship and aTm beat them. That made it FSU vs. Tennessee.
Then Tennessee played Miss. State that night. Mississippi State returned a punt in the 4th quarter of that game and had the lead, and people were beginning to completely melt down. But then Tennessee took over and won.
And the only reason why Tennessee was there in the first place was Clint frickING Stoerner.
But as for the "Kansas State Rule," they fell to three and everybody skipped them out of the BCS and into the Alamo Bowl, where Drew Brees went crazy and beat them too.
That was even crazier than the last day of 2007, in my opinion.
