After looking at it, last season was his most time missed since 2008(7 games). He missed 3 in 2011 and 1 in 2010.
The fact that they rushed him back too early(and Fox said as much) caused a set back that caused him to miss more time than he otherwise would have.
So I think the injury thing is overblown. The real question is how effective can he be at 36.
