so, now that the public release of this game happened yesterday and there isn't anything on this board about it...

Am i safe to assume that this game is a massive failure?

I was kind of looking forward to it, but I ain't paying a monthly fee for a steaming pile of shite.

Zero interest. I was excited to get in the beta testing, then immediately lost all interest.

Hopefully this doesn't derail Fallout 4.

I think the biggest failure of the game is thinking it could command $15 a month, that model is dead for new games. How WoW still has the sheep it does is beyond me.

Because like it or not WoW is still a quality game and the best MMO out there.

Not worth 15 a month and I used to pay for three accounts a month.

Are you just ignorant, or completely insane? They literally give you level 90's for $60. If your raid wipes they lower the difficulty until you beat it. That's not even a real game anymore.

-Remembers when you had to grind to 40 and do a massive questline to get your first slow arse mount.

I've got it. I don't have much time to play but I enjoy it when I can get on. The monthly fee is a bit of a turn off but I can live with it for now.

Purchased it and so far its a good game. Not excited about the 15/month though. I think the $60 for the game should be enough but just my opinion

No level 90 is worth $60. If you buy that it is a complete waste of money, I'm not even sure why they did that. I don't know of anyone who has done it. I would like to see the numbers on how many purchase that boost (other than pre-order xpack).

Judging WoW by the LFR system is dumb. If your primarily running Looking for Raid to get satisfaction from the game, your doing it wrong. No players worth anything care about or run LFR anymore.

You guys do realize that a HUGE number of people play WOW (and other MMO's) because of the social aspect right ?

Yeah, sure I do.

But no one is telling you to do LFRs. You can put together a normal PuG just as easy.

I don't think they are taking the social aspect of the game away, just offering other alternatives for people who may not play as much or don't have groups/guilds to run with.

I'm not going to hijact a thread about ESO to discuss WoW's decline, just picking LFRs to justify them removing the social aspect doesn't really make sense to me.

My point was really that WoW has survived so long because of the bonds that people have formed through that game. People keep going back because that is where there friends still are.

It will take a game that is extraordinary to get those large groups of people to all drop WoW and move to it.

That game is most definitely NOT ESO

No doubt man. I get you now. I'm in that boat, been playing with same group for years, the beginning actually.

I heard Skyrim was a fun game, but I want customization from games (UI, addons) and I highly doubt this will have that.

I also won't pay for a second sub fee. I'm happy with WoW (which I truly think may dive into F2P soon with in-game store) so I won't add another sub game.. unless its of great magnitude.
