You almost have it...
Houston is its own animal. East Texas is Tyler, Longview, Beaumont etc.

Not sure why Houston is associated with Waskom, a town of about 2,000.
I also think Houston is kind of it's own animal...SE Texas I guess with Beaumont, Galveston, etc.
When I think East Texas, I think of Lufkin, Marshall, etc
