I'm just surprised how strictly announcers and the like adhere to it. It was the same during the Super Bowl. Those Metroplexual committees do a solid job of enforcing it apparently

The actual host city.......Arlen'.......Arlington.........has made a concerted effort to differentiate themselves from Dallas and Ft Worth.....god love 'em. They want to pretend that the final 4 and Jerry love them and not Dallas.......OK......Arlen is beautiful.......evbody loves Arlen.......just play along.........nobody gives a shite but it's important to Arlen. They paid a lot of money to Jerry and the PR people.

Except everyone calls it the panhandle, not north texas. Houston and Dallas are technically in the eastern half of Texas, but they aren't in "East Texas". This isn't that hard
