How old was your kid when they first went to Disney?

Friends of mine are taking their 2 year old and 11 month old to Disney World in a few weeks. They (the parents) are super excited about it. Do kids get anything out of Disney World at that age? It just seems young to me, but I don't have kids.

My daughter was 2 and my son was 1. My daughter has asked us every week for the last 5 months to go back. And, she can tell you everything we did while we were there.

2 years old.
There is plenty for them to do at that age.

best thing is to go in the morning, go back for a long nap, then back in the evening...
Same method we used.
We regretfully tried pushing them all day one of the days while we were there.
We brought 3 kids: 1 1/2, 3, & 5 yrs old.
1 1/2 yr. old - Just recognizes Disney characters more now.
3 & 5 yr. olds - Ask to go back at least twice a month. They remember everything.

Mine was 2 going on 3, and always asks to go back. Plus, under 3 and their admission is free.

A couple of months old, maybe.
But then again, we go weekly.

8 months. Loved it.
The lights, music, sounds, images seemed to bring out a world of discovery that we hadn't noticed with them having a sitter at home all day.

2 year old will love it but 11 month old will just be business as usual, with some extra smiles, giggles and oohs and ahhs.

Youngest was 4 when we went. I would never ever suggest someone with a kid still in diapers go or even under 3 because of all the issues with nap time and carrying the extra stuff around.
Just seems like it turns into alot of work at that point.

It depends on how patient you and your kid are in my opinion. Lots of walking and waiting and it can get hot. I saw lots of small kids crying, whining or parents sitting in the shade with them while they slept. The days are long and there are things going on late at night, especially the fireworks. Plus many parents were pushing around small kids in a stroller so they had to deal with that. Mine was 10 and I'm glad I waited.

If my dad was alive he would say that his son, "me" was 39 the first time to Disney.
