Doesn't take a scouting report nor being a coach to say he doesn't have a strong arm. Please continue being a bitch though if you think that stating a fact is somehow is insulting jennings.

He was a true freshman starting in his first game. Did you expect him to be seasoned and polished on every single play?

No. I did expect him to play better than he did in the Iowa game. He was bad...and this was after having just about every rep in the bowl practices. But, that is irrelevant. That's not what I'm talking about. And, on its own, it's not that alarming.

I'm talking specifically about his tendency to have his passes sail on him, which is death for a QB.

What are you talking about? I'm not convinced at all that Harris is going to be the savior...or even that he's the best option for this year.

Ok, Jennings has a strong arm. Feel better now? Now you can go to sleep with a smile.

if you think this thread has any effect on my ability to sleep or smile, you take this place too seriously

But I am still waiting on something concrete to show me his weak arm

I'd say his arm is average...not weak. It's certainly never going to be his best trait as a QB.

Maybe Jarvis will let him tag along when he does the Sports Science gig and they can run some tests. Im sure they wouldn't mind.

Can we give him a season at least before we judge him.

I don't care if he floats passes or throws lasers, if the offense doesn't turn the ball over (realistically probably not going to happen) we will be in every game.

My assessment for him is that he has all the intangibles you want in a Qb but will need 6-8 games to have enough info to truly judge his talents

that interception he threw was ridiculously bad.

A true freshman in his first college start on a wet field threw a bad pass. Color me shocked!

Did you see Zach's pass at the end of the Clemson when he missed a wide open receiver at the line of scrimmage by five yards that would have won the game? How many years of college experience did Zach have when he made that ridiculously bad pass?

Why don't you call Cam and tell him what his starting QB is doing wrong.

People are overreacting all in this thread, I don't understand why a discussion cant take place here on AJ's mechanics and arm strength without people getting offended. I don't think anyone is hating on AJ by questioning this.

The fact is his mechanics need a lot of work.

His arm strength could be better.

The good part is all of this can be dealt with and overcome.

Showing the pass he completed to Dural is a terrible example if you are trying to impress someone with his passing ability so do yourself a favor and don't do it again.

He doesn't have to have a cannon to be successful and can work on his mechanics.

So to all of you straight assholes that think it cant be discussed don't click on the thread you fricking prick.

Didn't mean to hurt your feelings.

Do you even disagree that the throw was ridiculously bad?

He doesn't have the arm strength of say Mett or Jarmacus or Peyton, more average like a Brees or maybe J Lee. It's plenty strong enough. Probably average or slightly above average college QB arm strength.
