I agree. So is GPA now a condition of employment? Do they receive unemployment benefits if they are kicked off the team? Workers Comp for injuries? Can coaches still discipline team members for conduct off the field? How does this impact NCAA penalties for Institutional Control? How sea it impact NCAA investigations and University responses to such investigations?

I'm not surprised:

quote:

Peter Sung Ohr was appointed Regional Director of the Chicago Regional Office (Region 13) in 2011. Mr. Ohr began his career with the NLRB in the Honolulu Sub-regional Office as a Field Attorney, where he worked from 1997 until 2005. In 2005, he was appointed Deputy Assistant General Counsel in the NLRB’s Division of Operations-Management.

Born in Seoul, Korea, Mr. Ohr received his B.A. degree from the University of California-Riverside in 1989. He was awarded his J.D. degree from Pepperdine School of Law in 1994 and a M.B.A. from Hawaii Pacific University in 2000.

So only one person made this decision? Jeez.

Trying to imagine a player representative presenting a grievance to Nick Saban, Mike Leach or Bobby Knight, Woody Hayes, Bear Bryant.
