I haven't tried diesel. Nor have I ever burned diesel. Will I get the big WHOOOOOOSSSSHHHH like with gas? I don't want to burn my arse

Got any old flooring glue?

Shouldn't get the big woosh with diesel. Try soaking some dry logs in a 5 gallon bucket for a few days, then take them out there and light it on fire. The diesel will keep it going.

Diesel doesn't combust (right word?) like gas does. It won't blow up in your face. It burns much longer too, especially if you soak it. When I was a kid and we lived on more property, we used to soak our woodpiles in diesel after clearing and they'd burn up even if they were wet. It's my go to lighter fluid for fires.
