I would love to see high end 700's with barrels as accurate as the previously were. With out the QC this will never happen.

I shot an 1100 for 32 years. Had to replace one spring and a lost mag tube nut. Finally the barrel egged and I replaced it with a 11-87 in 2012. With this one I've Shot probably 2500-3000 rounds from 3" #4 all the way to
2-3/4 #8 target loads. If I clean it it will run anything through. Never understood the remington hate because mine have always performed.

My 1911 is a R1 and I like it. I got it when they first came out with it though. No problems thus far.

I also have a 700 .270 that's probably 15 years old. No problems with it either.

That being said, my roommate bought a synthetic 870 earlier this year and it just feels cheap as shite.
