That sucks. I am very enthralled right now, the way I was in season one.

I quit watching last season.
I could understand that. Last season was fairly bad. This season has been great though.

I am extremely excited that I am only one week away from not having to watch this shite for 6 months.
If that excites you, then:
1.) You have an extremely boring life
2.) Please call the police and notify them that you're being forced to turn on your television and watch the show every week

This season has been great. Lot of different dynamics with the group splitting up. (Which I normally don't like) Hope it takes off as well next season

I'd say the second half of this season has been 80% incredible and 20% putrid.
But that 80% is just about as good as season 1 IMO. Last night's episode was horrible, sure. But maybe next week will wrap it up nicely?
The show is really doing a good job fixing itself after the horrible Governor plotline. I know it won't happen, but the show would be right back on the straight line if it killed off Glenn and Maggie, Michone, and Rick. There's nothing left to develop with those characters, and they're taking away valuable screen/plot time.
But for the question - Why watch the show if you don't like it? The Walking Dead's potential is 10 times better than 99% of the shows on TV. There's just nothing to watch anymore. At least the setting of TWD is interesting.

Great? No. Significantly better by comparison? Sure, I'll give you that.

Oh great another thread bitching about the walking dead, yet you still watch.
Go figure the comic readers would be in here knighting.

This season has been better than the past couple. I don't get the criticism. The show is what it is now. If you haven't figured that out yet, then I don't know what to tell ou.

So people should just quit watching a show they have time invested in and may want to see how it wraps up because a few episodes or a season has been below expectations?
I still haven't watched the last two episodes of Dexter.
Logic bitches!

Or maybe they should just write the zombies off the show.
they should, for the most part

That seems completely feasible and I'm sure no one will complain about that.
well...it's not a show about zombies. it's about those who survive the ZA

the last 3 episodes have been some of the best of the series.
Posted on 3/24/14 at 8:34 am to SlowFlowPro
Many of these episodes have come across as filler (Daryl/Beth getting drunk, Bob/Sasha/Maggie). Although, I do believe they are trying develop some of these characters more so we become invested in what happens to them. 16 episodes per season is a lot, and there are a lot of characters. Lots of "boring" dialogue and little overall story progression is going to happen. Seasons 1 and 2 moved at a quicker pace and had more action to progress the story because there were less episodes. Sometimes, less is more.
I think this season has been decent to very good, depending on the episode. Better than Season 3 which had so much potential but the story was just not presented very effectively.

slow is fine, if you use it well. admittedly, the "breakup" section has at least tried to use the time (rick and carl notwithstanding). hell i caught the episodes showing the governor all alone and that almost drew me back in...only to have it devolve into retarded bullshite when he took that group over
i'd say the bigger issue is the "destination" repetition. the group (or parts of it) finds the magical destination. spend a season there. then something bad happens and it gets destroyed and they go on their own. find a magical destination. spend a season there. etc
terminus = the prison = the farm

I mean...is this not what would happen in the ZA?
people bitch about a show not being realistic enough, then when it is realistic...they bitch because it is too boring
in the ZA, the common person will just be going from safe place to safe place trying to survive, it would more than likely be very boring
