I definitely remember some comments about his race from multiple people around us in the terrace back then.
If you said something I don't like, I might say "Ugh, Australian dumbass."
But it's not because I hate Australians.

That's why I said it was a factor. "that's why you need a white qb" "black qbs don't have it upstairs" etc aren't the same thing as your made up hypothetical. My evidence was anecdotal, but it seemed to happen in multiple sections during the last couple of years/year they delhomme.
The delhomme love was also incredible. He was an average at best qb in Carolina if you go back and actually look at the stats. Us not being married to him was such a huge blessing for this franchise.
