What's the recommended fertilizer for centipede?

What I like about centipede is that it doesn't need a lot of fertilizer. Most people hurt their centipede by over doing it, so your best bet is to just lime the soil to get the correct pH. You've heard it time and time again, but a soil sample is really the only way to know what to do. If you do want to fertilize without a sample, stick to a fertilizer with a low phosphorous (middle number on the bag) content. Iron in the fertilizer is a plus. I just try to keep my lawn free of weeds and let the centipede flourish on its own. Bermudagrass is my specialty, but unfortunately my lawn sees too much shade for me to have it for my own lawn.
