I am not trying to reinvent the wheel here. I am simply putting the numbers down on paper, aka the internet, for you to take a look at. I love looking at numbers when it comes to LSU baseball and I usually put their national rankings and SEC rankings from mid April until the end of the season so I decided to try this out for now.
LSU Starting Pitchers
Aaron Nola
5-0, 0.22 ERA, 56 K, 8 BB, 40.1 IP, 19 H, 1 ER, .141 BA Against, 0.67 WHIP
He gave up 6 hits and that lonely earned run in Friday nights game so yeah, he has been on point in 2014. He ranks 8th in the Nation in ERA, 3rd in Strikeouts, 11th in WHIP, and 12th in Victories
Kyle Bouman - Could miss Saturday's Start LINK
3-1, 2.20 ERA, 14 K, 3 BB, 28.2 IP, 22 H, 7 ER, .220 BA Against
Jared Poche
5-1, 1.91 ERA, 24 K, 9 BB, 33.0 IP, 24 H, 7 ER, .205 BA Against
The starters combined ERA is 1.32

LSU Hitting
The hitting hasn't been overly impressive like it was to begin the 2013 season but we are without Katz, Rhymes, Jones, and Ross so the numbers are going to take a dive early on. That being said, these numbers aren't bad, don't get me wrong these numbers are great in some areas.

Andrew has completely turned his LSU career around with the addition of his hitting. Last season he struggled to get anything going but this year, he has become a beast in the box. He also has added 4 triples which has him ranked 7th in the Nation.

SEC is f'n stacked.
My only fixes I would like to see is Kade getting into catcher on a more regular basis, not DH let McMuffin sit there, and put Mr. Fraley in the field.
Overall if you want to be the best you gotta beat the best.
Also, what is going on with Bregs this year throwing over to 1B high. I realize he has the most E's because of his position see the statistically most hit balls, but he is sailing alot of balls this year, I've noticed.

If the first part of the season is any indicator, pitching in the sec is unreal. Doesn't bode well for our lineup that's trying to find its groove.

These stats make me feel good about this team.

Team is going to need to get better at the plate with opponents like that.

This makes me sad.
I know this kid has heart the size of Texas when it comes to baseball. Does anyone know if he was out there fielding ground balls at 2am again?

Great work. Thanks. The Laird group of hitters is hitting .225 against far and away the worst pitching they will see all year... Do they improve ?? Any impossibility ? Bb
