Anyone ever had this done?. I messed up my MCL and ACL but neither are town. MCL is supposed to heal in its own but ACL is stretched and could use surgery. Anyone know anything about this? Someone mentioned it me me in a bar last night so I haven't had time to do any research.

That's quite a Southern drawl you have there. Jawjan, perhaps?

Don't know a whole lot about it other than it's high prevalence and use by professional athletes. I wouldn't use it as a preventative to surgery though unless you're in season as an athlete or about to begin one.

Consult with an ortho who does it for his/her two cents !

I've done this twice for tendonitis in my elbow and it worked like a charm. Steroids stopped working so I went to PRP. Next step was going to be surgery. Thankfully the PRP worked.

The evidence that it actually works is spotty at best. In 10 years this will all fall to the wayside as another medical fad. Everyone is looking for the latest and greatest technology, but most of these things don't pan out - that's why insurance doesn't pay for it. And the reason you hear about professional athletes getting it is because they are willing to try anything to get better faster, and $500 cash for each injection is nothing for them.

I don't have any medical procedures done before sending out an O-T page to nurse 1st.

Paging nurse, I got PPR questions.
