i don't think that's true at all. Saban is intently aware of the effect the pageantry aspect of the games have on the players as well as the crowd (which in turn can influence the players on both teams). The guy is a detail freak of the highest order.

This was why I asked originally. I couldn't remember a situation like that during the miles years, but didn't think saban would care

I remember that one because I was in the front row in the student section with my back turned so it was hitting against the rain. It poured all throughout warm-ups.
