Snatchy, I'm with you on all of those except REM. I think they were one of the few bright spots in the musical wasteland that was the 80's. Admittedly their earlier stuff was a bit better but I felt like they were relevant even into the 90's.

I admit that I haven't given their early stuff much of a chance. Tomorrow is lawn/REM/Golf day.

Wow. The 80s didn't match the 60s or early 70s bit it was FAR from a musical wasteland. If you thought the 80s was a wasteland I can't imagine what you must think of the abysmal last 15+ years of music.

As for the OP, I agree on Radiohead. Haven't been able to get into them or Kiss. Disagree on REM, just about everything they did throughout the entire decade of the 80s was great. Disagree with a lot of the Springsteen criticism. He had good music from the 70s all the way through Human Touch.
