I think it would be hard for an a-hole to get elected to the presidency and Emanuel is an incredible a-hole. Regardless of what you think about Obama, Bush, Clinton, et al, they generally don't come across as abrasive, rude etc. Emanuel is all that and more, he's really unlikeable and I don't see that playing in Peoria.

Rahm is vulnerable in Chicago.
There are a few African Americans that could beat him. His approval/disapproval are way down.
