If this of the ocean is as deep as they say, how much recovery can possibly take place?
I hope at least some kind of equipment can get down there with a camera to at least see what kind of shape the plane is in.

I would assume the first thing they'll do is recover the black box. Then decide from there whether or not more recovery is warranted.

Reading the article will answer your questions. They will recover the black box first and go from there. It may or may not answer questions of why the jet went down.
If it doesn't answer questions, they will retrieve more pieces of the jet. That's what I got out of the article anyway.

Damn. I'm so smart. I figured that out without even reading the article.

yes, they are making some progress. I go back to my early early prediction that this was pilot suicide for Alla.

Imo it is amazing luck that they picked up these pings. I mean the location and timing and depth. For them to drag the detector over the right spot at the right time is pretty incredible.
Assuming this is the pings they are looking for of course. But they seem confident it can't really be anything else but.

I doubt it's amazing luck. I suspect that a US Navy boat actually found it and, through channels, guided the searchers. They'll never admit it, though.

Well yeah, there are many scenarios where it isn't pure luck. But if the official timeline of events is to be believed it is pretty lucky.

Good point, and I didn't actually think of that until your post. I believe it could of been the US NAVY SOSUS system which is an underwater listening post designed to detect Soviet Submarines during the Cold War. This thing could of put them on the right track if they put them down that deep. But I don't know.

They are using a US Navy ping detector. Also, the area they are searching now, is along the satellite line, just further North, as they determined the plane was going faster and burning more fuel. Don't think anything hidden about this...

Yes, I agree but do you think it could of been the Sub detection technology along with Satellite data that put them in that AO?

Over the last month, I've seen it referenced several times that the US has known the real story and keeps feeding shite to the other countries to help them out.
I'm having a hard time believing any of that stuff. If we knew what many are claiming, why wouldn't this wreckage site or even a remotely close search area been noted within the first 10 days or so? As it is, the battery is about to die for this machine and they almost didn't even have a chance of locating the plane.
Assuming this is the real deal of course.

Submarines do less than 600 meters. #MH370 is 4500 deep. Titanic was 3800 U.S. Navy research submarines can explore bottom of the oceans

Floor of Indian Ocean is covered in thick layer of silt many yards deep -- which can swallow sunken objects up #MH370
