Brees can definately help by reworking his ridiculous contract!

Now probably isn't the time for a restructure.

a) When the Saints ask him to, which we don't know if they have.
b) His contract isn't "ridiculous".
c) It DOES NOT help us much this year, and HURTS us the next two if we restructure now.
He will likely be asked to do so NEXT YEAR. Now go run along and play, little boy.

Your post is ridiculous!
When are you going to step up and not post lame threads. That's the real question.
Go look at how much Aaron Rogers, Eli Manning, Tony Romo, Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco make. Look up some articles on what Colin Kapernick is expected to make in the next few years. It's expensive, but we did well getting him in the early rounds of these QB contracts. They will only go up.

Good god, I was not talking about your mother or Jesus himself, all I was doing was expressing my opinion on the dire situation. Take a small deep breath and calm down. I wasn't trying to make you move to "Rainbow land" or taking ur guns....holy shyte!!

I don't think anyone really took offense. You simply come off as extremely ignorant of the actual facts of the situation, and everyone called you on it. If anyone's jimmies are rustled, it is your own. Or you're trolling.

mmm...he costs 1M more against the cap for 2014 than Matt Ryan...4M less than Jay Cutler...it's not so ridiculous for a guy that finishes top 5 in just about every passing category every year.
...contracts will be restructured when the time is right...they usually are with no major issues

Just read that again and don't think of the contract.
Did you read it again?
I hope you just slapped yourself

He will restructure next season, giving him a 4-5 year extension to retire a Saint and more bonus money up front. It won't be a monster extension since he's already gotten that in 2012.

His cap number this year is a little over $18 million, for 2015 and 2016 it goes up to $26 and $27 million. We mess with his contract now like you are suggesting and that adds more money to the remaining $26, and $27 mill. We wait a year and then ask him to restructure (extend). Convert a large portion of what he is owed to a signing bonus which will be paid out in installments over the following years. This way he will get even more guaranteed money, and he will cost less against the cap. See the Tom Brady deal last year.
