We went there just for the hell of it tonight. I always enjoy my visits.

I had the catfish, braised greens, field peas and cornbread (I'm a man of the people). My wife had a vegetable plate.

The warm pecan pie with Jack Daniels ice cream for dessert.

Two whiskey drinks for me and a vodka for my wife.

Bill was about $50. Very reasonable, imo.

Reminds me of a neighborhood diner . . . and I guess it is in a way.

No sober lent for you, eh?

High Hat is always good. It really is a neighborhood diner that offers a little more.

Almost went Monday for lunch, but it was slammed. Walked to Wayfare and it was just as crowded.

Great Freret St. landmark.

What people? I recently went with my wife and had 4 High Lifes and the warm pecan pie with Jack Daniels ice cream....for dinner.
