PFT with some clarity on the Graham situation (Colts are a no-go)

PFT clarifies Graham situation. I'm sure I'd read elsewhere that a team with no first rounder this season would be required to give up their next 2 firsts (the CBA really says nothing but "two first round picks" without clarifying any further, unless that info is located in a section other than the franchised player one), but fortunately, the Colts can't make an offer (would have been a total Irsay move).
Also:
The Saints could absolutely take the 26th pick if they agreed to a deal. Hell, they could agree to a deal with no first round picks involved at all. The "it has to be the team's original first round pick" only applies to the situation where the Saints don't want to negotiate on compensation and the team just outright signs Graham.

First, any team that signs Graham to an offer sheet must have a first-round pick to give. The Colts, therefore, can’t even consider it, since their first-round pick was sent to the Browns for running back Trent Richardson during the 2013 season.

Second, a team that acquires a first-round pick from another team still must send its own pick. The Browns, for example, wouldn’t be able to dangle the first-round pick they acquired from the Colts (26th overall). The Browns would have to send their own pick, the fourth overall in the 2014 draft.
