that's true, if our guy wanted to make a splash he would have had one of our new naval laser weapons on hand to shoot down the Russian rocket as a counter demo.

I don't think they are at that point yet...I think they miss about as much as they don't at this point.
But it would have been a great idea to fricking send Putin, as crazy as he apparently is, to the fricking edge by shooting down a single missile while being unable to shoot down the other 3 or 4 thousand they have waiting.
Russia is not fricking Iraq or Afghanistan or even 1930's Germany as formidable as that was....Russia is an animal that you do not want to provoke. For the sake of mankind the neo-cons have got to realize that this is not a fricking Iraq/Afghanistan situation. Do we really want to end mankind over Ukraine? Poland? The Czech Republic? Germany is probably the line....
One thing for sure...it was beginning to look like US civilian opportunities in Western Europe were going to become fewer and farther between. This thing has put us back on a cold war footing for the forseeable future and for some of us that is an economic boom!
