But let's dream for a second, where would one go if we got one? Maybe somewhere on the northshore?

Meh, amphitheaters are overrated.
High-quality, indoor theaters are where it's at.

Have you ever been to a concert at The Woodlands in August??? I have and its HOT! Although somewhere by the water w a good breeze wouldn't be bad.

There's an outdoor concert venue planned for Jazzland in the latest proposal. 1000 seats, additional lawn seating. Lighting and pyro package with a lake as the backdrop.

Good God, why would you ever want to sit outside in south LA?

Also, face it you live in small towns.
The population of metro Atlanta is about the same as all of LA.

How south are you all talking, I can't imagine it is too easy to put in an amphitheater with decent sightlines around here, it all seems really really flat, and the swampy nature of the area has to make it a little more difficult. Add in the amount of rain that happens during the summer (I live in New Orleans so speaking of my experience here) and the heat, I think nice indoor venue is better for here.
