I read that it was 0300 Crimea local time (EET/GMT +2 Hours).
ETA: I also see articles that say 0500 local time, which would be 0300 GMT. Not sure which is accurate.

So 5 AM Crimea time? Really good time to start an assault. Get all you troops positioned under the cover of darkness. Attack at dawn. Consolidate in daylight.

Russia will not deploy 840K into the region.

I think Ukraine still has enough of an advantage to get Russia out of Crimea. Their only chance is to kick Russia out now and secure the peninsula before Russia can mass it's forces, thereby forcing Russia to launch a true invasion if they really want it.
