I agree with Obama on this one.
We should cut the military and quit being world policemen.
Where I am sure Obama and I disagree is just how to respond to attacks on the USA. For example I believe we should have bombed Afganistan out of existence after 911--nuke or not.
I think we should encourage the full militarization of Japan and we should seriously consider withdrawing from NATO. We should never again lead a UN military effort like the Korean war.

You dont't think shrinking the military would not open us up to more terror attacks? You don't see this as making us look weak?

hell yes. It has been almost 70 years since WWII ended and Japan is probably our biggest ally outside of britain. Let them defend themselves against China.

Why do you think Japan wants your advice? A nation with a birth rate below replacement levels, with an aging population fascinated by Hello Kitty and uninterested in sex isn't going to have a military like they had 70 years ago, pull your head out of the 1930's.
