keep beating that drum Lee. No one here really cares, but continue to try to make it more of a "situation" that you think it will be.

Clearly we all should care more about a recruit who is already committed to play at another school where his brother coaches and because another SEC school offered. Clearly.

Bamma offers hundreds of early offers.

as of when Niebuhr compiled this list, most schools have broken 100 so far (LSU is close at 98).

He's looking at the percentage of in-state offers.

quote:

1. Texas A&M -- 26 of 64 offers: 40.1%
2. Florida -- 58 of 147: 39.4%
3. Georgia -- 24 of 87: 27.5%
4. LSU -- 13 of 98: 13.2%
5. Missouri -- 9 of 70: 12.9%
6. Mississippi State -- 18 of 173: 10.4%
7. Ole Miss -- 15 of 165: 9.1%
8. South Carolina -- 9 of 107: 8.4%
9. Arkansas -- 7 of 85: 8.2%
10. Tennessee -- 16 of 197: 8.1%
11. Alabama -- 11 of 145: 7.6%
12. Auburn -- 8 of 120: 6.7%
13. Kentucky -- 4 of 170: 2.4%

NOTE: The new Vanderbilt staff has only 17 offers out for 2015

They've signed 2 guys from that area since '12 that we wanted and failed to replace if you count Robinson. Devall would've started last year. Where they are from is irrelevant, a touchdown isn't worth more if it's caught by a guy from New Orleans vs a guy from Houston. What is relevant is that they were our primary targets at the position and we missed. It happens but to expect us to find a backup option that is better is not realistic.

How the Heck are these jerk offs offering Louisiana boys first?

The same way LSU is offering oos kids first. The explanation is in the thread.

Right....

Roney Elam Profile

quote:

“That was really unexpected,” he admitted. “I didn’t think an SEC school like LSU, a team that wins and recruits like they do, would be the first to offer me. That’s a really good school too.”

no idea....his recruitment is definitely about to lift off....He will probably get the 4* bump off the strength of the offers alone.

It doesn't hurt that we offered him before the others followed suit. I'm interested in seeing what happens.

I stated in another post:

LSU has had a tendency towards QBs from larger high shchool programs.
2011 Zac Mettenberger Univ. Georgia Transfer
2012 Jeremy Liggins, Lafayette HS 5A
2013 Anthony Jennings, Marietta High School 6A
2014 Brandon Harris, Parkway 5A 2014

If that current trend holds true, in 2016 Patterson (2A Calvary Baptist), (2) Veal (1A Southern Lab), and Wallace (2A Riverside Academy) might not be heavily pursued by LSU. Its one position that you might take a look at the level of competition the QB faces. 2016 QB Belton (5A West Monroe) and Scott (5A Zachary) are also on the radar.

Liggins was from Laf in MS that is correct. But that's a 4A school not 5A and in MS 4A is equal to 3A in Louisiana program and school wise. So I wouldn't call Laf a "big program"

I've seen Patterson play 2 times against Parkway(B. Harris) and Byrd and maybe the competition was a little unfair but he did not impress and that's an understatement.
