I think losing to so many shitty teams probably has a little to do with people being upset also, but that's just a guess.

It would have been easier to take if we exhibited a modicum of Basketball skills. We look like a Division III school. Don't know if it's coaching but this is embarrassing.

I'm sorry but I disagree with you. Coach Jones should get at least one and maybe two more seasons.

Stop making excuses for a team on track to surrender 90 pts to a team that probably averages just over 70

Man it has nothing to do with losing to the #1 team. I'm not saying CJJ should be fired but just look at the difference in execution in this game. Florida is playing suffocating defense something we have no clue how to do and offensively everything they run looks smooth and coordinated. For us on offense it looks like street ball...I don't think wanting to see some better execution at both ends is asking too much.

Our fans can be great, then there are a bunch that are just fricking retarded... Unfortunately it's more of the latter...

See the post above mine for a fine example of plain stupid..

Best season for us since the 08-09 year. And the only reason we were good that year was because Trent Johnson inherited a team with Temple, Thornton, Taz, and Chris Johnson. After thsoe guys left, we were horrible.

What team did Johnny Jones inherit? 2 5'10 PGs that are very streaky and a solid big. Thats it. Hes the reason we got Martin and Mickey. And hes the reason why we have arguably the #1 player in the nation for 2015.

Im not saying that im not disappointed this year or whatever. But this is nowhere near the finished product for CJJ. If Mickey and Martin stay, hopefully they do, next year is the year that really matters and the pressure will be on CJJ.

Go look at the games we lost. Who hurt us the most from the other team? It was their guards. Henderson, Releford, McRae, Harrison, etc. Why is that? Because we are short at the guard position. Even when we go zone, its hard for Mickey and Stringer to guard 6'3+ guards. Its easy for those guys to shoot over our guards and penetrate the zone because our guards are tiny.

And I love Hickey and Stringer. They were here for some tough years and gave it all they had. But their inconsistent scoring and inability to defend majority of guards playing D1 basketball is a huge reason why we fell short of expectations this season.

Also, people had unrealistic expectations for us this year. I get we had 1 of our best incoming classes this year and we should be excited for that. But when was the last time a team with 2 guards under 5'10 make a run in the tourney? And Mickey and Martin are great. But are still freshman. And Martin had a high ankle sprain in the 1st few minutes of the 1st game of the season. He missed the most important part of the season for his development. And look at how well he has played these last few weeks.

Im not making excuses, because I am somewhat disappointed. But its not like I expected us to be a sweet 16 team like a lot of people did.

If we keep Martin and Mickey, next year is the big year for me with CJJ. Thats the year with the big time pressure. Tim Quartermans development is going to be huge.

Coach K was 38-47 his first 3 years with Duke, and he turned out pretty good.

Coach Jones is doing pretty good considering the state of the basketball program when he arrived. I think over the course of the next 3 years we become a pretty decent club that gets to the NCAA Tournament on a regular basis.

The idiots that think we should all of a sudden beat the #1 team in the nation and compete on a National level immediately are just that, idiots. This team will be pretty good the next few years.

I don't know how many folks are calling for CJJ to be fired, but I do think some criticism is warranted.

Coach will be here for awhile, that's a fact.

Re: this game specifically, I did not expect to win, but I did expect to compete a little bit.

As good as Florida is....and they are a polished, disciplined and well coached team, their offense has not exactly been great this year.

But like most everyone, they put up significantly better numbers than normal this year.

CJJ gets the benefit of the doubt from me that he will learn and improve at this level and make the changes he needs to either to his staff, or his philosiphy or both.

Cause he has some talent coming in.

Johnny Jones is Daddy Dale Pt. 2.

And that's good. We're going to be really talented and make the tournament almost every year, but the teams will never reach their full potential and we'll make some early exits. But occasionally we'll have a really good team with Final Four potential.

He'll get us the players, that's for sure.
