I don't know if this has been discussed. If so, I missed it.

Maybe I don't know the rules of baseball, but shouldn't the final be 3-1? The stats and the run scored in the top of the 6th inning don't count, do they?

If the home team was losing, like LSU was, at the top of the inning that wasnt completed, then the run counts.

I am not questioning your baseball knowledge hcb and, in fact, I am admitting that I am not sure, but this does not make sense to me.

I think the concensus was that if that if the game was rained out and the last half inning no impact on the game, then the players and the team get credit for the hits and runs and all that jazz.

If the game play involved in any incomplete inning does not affect the outcome of the game it will be included in all team and individual stats per NCAA rules.

That makes sense actually, but what if say ULL had scored 2 runs to take a 1 run lead in the top half of the inning, before being stopped for rain? Give it to no one if the game can't be continued at another time.

In that situation the game will need to be resumed at a later date

If that happened then the score would have reverted to what it was at the end of the 5th.

Kind of what I figured. Wouldn't seem fare to give the win to LSU in that case. Thanks.
