they have mentioned the fact that chilton and hannibal have both used "unorthodox" therapy methods, but i don't recall if that discussion was any more explicit than that.

If by confirm, you mean Will, Alana, Jack, and Hannibal all said he did, then I guess so.
And Chilton has all but admitted it to Will as they have bonded over trying to get Hannibal.
I think Will's defense attorney may have questioned Chilton about it to discredit him during his trial, but I'm not positive.

I like pussywillow's answer better.

lol
i kind of like the fact that they're deviating from the storylines of certain characters...makes things more unpredictable...i also understand what you were getting at last night hoodoo...if i didn't enjoy the show so much, i think i'd feel like it might be jumping the shark...but it works for me here.

Yeah. It really made sense when the producer or whoever said this show takes place in its own reality.
I mean, it would have to.
The timeline for this show is only a few months, and we've seen the main characters interact with countless dramatic, elegant, and successful serial killers in that time.
In a pretty small segment of the country.
Also, I totally killed on the interpretation that Hannibal truly values the friendship with Graham.

Finally caught up from the last two weeks. I really really enjoy this show. I would be beyond disappointed if it got cancelled before telling the full story arc. Do they plan going beyond his imprisonment and through SOTL and Hannibal?

There won't be much point in calling it "Hannibal" if they start following the books. Lecter was a minor character in Red Dragon and SOTL, and I have no desire to see them reenact those stories. What's made the series good so far is that it's a brand new chapter in the Lecter universe. Besides, they've used up most of his dialogue from those books, sometimes giving it to other characters.

Yeah I know. I read the books. I thought I read somewhere that the arc for all of this was about six seasons. I thought someone posted about it, I could be wrong though.

bryan fuller has plans for 7 seasons, the first three are original storylines, the next three are to cover red dragon, silence of the lambs and hannibal (the books), then the final season will be original material again to wrap it all up...hopefully, we get to see it all.

That's what it was. I really hope it pans out and we get to see it. He's done an amazing job so far. I really want to see how it all plays out.
I tried searching imdb for articles but I couldn't find anything.

looks like im going to have to request to have a book reader hannibal thread, movie watcher thread, and a just show watcher thread. all this talk about the story is just too much spoilers

Also a "middle ground" thread is needed, and then separate threads based on what movies or books people have read. I'd say we will need about 20 threads per episode in all.
But seriously, I would be thrilled if this show got a 3rd season and ended it there, let alone 7.

Creepiest wink EVER.
And while I HATED Chilton in the books (OMG SPOILER ALERT), I adore how Raul Esperanza has played him on "Hannibal".
Since Fuller doesn't usually play mind games with the fans - he was very open that Beverly was dead in post show interviews before the audience knew for sure - I'm hoping his coyness about Chilton's fate means he is still alive.
I cackled so hard when he told Will (in regards to telling the FBI he was framed) "I have two DEAD FBI agents and a half eaten Gideon at my house!!!! All you did was throw up an ear!"

Finally watched the last week's episode. I really love this show, but this week had some weak parts to me. Everyone changes their opinion of the killer in the blink of an eye, Bloom is suddenly dense, and Miriam shoots through one way glass?
Can someone please refresh my memory; how was Will cleared exactly? Also, what was it that led Jack to find Miriam in that location?
Somehow I lost memory, must be that light treatment

Yeah I am not sure why Crawford changed his mind so much. Maybe Miriam returning just has him desperate for some closure?
Bloom has known Hannibal for a long time. I think longer than anyone else on the show. So, I can see why she does not believe it.

Bump for tonight.
