Will go back and listen to it later but I have no problem taking Bayou Sam at his word.
One thing this does bring to mind is how much more effectively Dems seem to be at using viewpoints expressed by voters like "Beau" than R's seem to be in utilizing viewpoints expressed by people actually connected to pols such as Jeremiah Wright, Ayers, and so forth. Of course, I didn't much care for Wright or Michelle Obama's comments on being proud of America, yet I voted for Obama in 2008 (something I view as a dreadful mistake). Maybe the R's generally don't have the stomach for a good smear?

When it comes to smearing, I don't think it's about Republicans and Democrats but particular political operatives. Karl Rove is the best and most shameless smear-er I can think of.

Me too, NO. I couldn't push the McCain button...and really thought Obama would at least fix the Health Care stuff. Fool me once...!
What is worse, that Barack Obama has done more to REINFORCE racist stereotypical characterizations in not only the simplistic minds of people like that dude...but in many who - before Obama - had overcome the cultural status quo prejudices. I know successful and really smart folk who now view Blacks at basically Tribalist. Vote Black...vote to subsidize the Black Tribe. Merit nws.
Pendulum swings can be very problematic. The Germans were smart too.
Obama has blew it. He should have left that chip on his shoulder in his "mentor's" Church.
