Bet Franklin St. was fun last night.

my friend sent a couple snapchats and had a pretty long "story" and it looked fricking wild.

UNC has a pretty snooty fanbase. The embarrassment many Tar Heels feel is understandable.

You misspelled "laughably self-important".

Damn that is just 4 months. I mean it's the same school year

It was for a second.

A big clusterfrick with no booze gets old fast though. It was time for the bar after a few minutes there.

I don't understand why this bothers so many people whenever a student section storms the court?

It's the "act like you've been there before" angle. UNC has been there, many times. WTF do they need to rush the court?

Because it's fun as hell. Rushing the field for the Iron Bowl was one of the craziest nights of my life. Do I care if it makes it look like "We haven't been there before"? Hell no. Because I know we have and DGAF what other teams think about us.

LSU has missed it's chance to beat Bama this school year.

March 2012 to Feb 2014 - 2 years.

Nov 2011 to Nov 2014 - 3 years.

It's a longer drought for LSU any way you count it.

Not even close to being the same thing. With the way the IB ended it was completely warranted. That was a once-in-a-lifetime type of play.

I am a huge carolina basketball fan and even I felt embarrassed by this.

Me too. I mean I was pumped. I was jumping around screaming and yelling "BOOM" but then it stopped when I saw the kids storming. Didn't expect that.

Here's a photo I took:

ETA @goldenbadger08 - I highly doubt that pic was taken last night. The crowd didn't extend nearly that far down Columbia St (on the right side).

I don't get the whole "I'm too high and mighty to rush the court" thing. It's fun. Who GAF what other teams might think about you when you do it?

It's more a commentary of where the UNC program is currently at under Williams. Beating your main rival on your home court is such an unexepected surprise that you storm? Weak UNC. I still don't think they're a very good team, and that's fantastic.

I'm a senior and I rushed the court last night, we haven't beat duke while we've been on campus in my 4 years (when we did it was over spring break), throw in the up and down year its been, plus the snow cancellation last week and it was an emotional win

i'm not above it and don't really see why people care

Blue bloods shouldn't rush the court because winning games like that should be an expectation. It doesn't really matter how underwhelming the season has been. There's nothing exceptional about Carolina beating Duke on their home floor.

Didn't UNC rush the floor once toward the end of the Doherty (sp?) era? I am thinking a Dookie hit a shot just after the buzzer that didn't count...maybe around '04 or so?

They play each other 3 times a year...

Its one stupid game. UNC may not even make the NCAA tourney.

Auburn actually won something in unusual fashion.

UNC rushing the court only shows how far they have fallen

Auburn rushed the field after beating Bama on the gridiron. Why the double standard?

Auburn's not one of the blue bloods of college football. They don't have to be dignified.
