:csb: incoming

I cannot handle Nick and Jess anymore. The show was so much better without Coach and the current story lines.

It needs more Schmidt/CECE storylines and lots more Winston. I feel like them adding Linda Cardellini could be a good thing if it means we get less of Jess/Nick, but we all know it is going to mean less Winston, Schmidt and CECE.

The show is a mess and needs to go back to what made it funny.

Nick and Jess are fine. I just don't like the addition of Coach and now they added Jess' sister last night. It's too much.

I don't like the addition of Coach. They took forever to figure out how to use Winston and then compounded the problem by adding Coach.

I love how the first couple of seasons there was tons of whining that Coach needed to be back.

Then when that happens its constant whining that Coach sucks.

yep, nick/jess is getting old

coach doesn't bother me that much, but they have made winston into a very minor role, when he's actually had some really funny parts in the past

The decline of New Girl is more on the writing than it is on Coach. Shitty writing has brought the show down.

Schmitt having a hard time choosing between Cece and the fat chick?

Winston and that cat?

The problem with New Girl is they concluded the will they/won't they too quickly. Pretty much all shows that have a main storyline of will they/won't they between main characters gets worse once they get together. It's tough bc you want them to get together but once they do that whole dynamic is gone and something's missing.
It happened with Bones, I was so glad when they finally got together but it changed the show, it wasn't the same.
In Chuck there were so many other great storylines and characters to focus on they pulled it off well when Chuck and Sarah got together, but it still wasn't quite the same.
Scrubs was pretty much over when JD and Elliot were finally together for good, they did it right.

With New Girl they got together too quickly, they needed to make the audience want it more and more until they basically had to be together. That usually takes 4-5 seasons and as a viewer you're just so happy they're together you don't care that the show changes because of it, they didn't make us what it enough to accept the new show dynamic.

They had a no nail oath. They violated that and it almost messed up the show. Then they actually broke them up and they started dating other people and it was awesome. Them getting together just destroyed the dynamic of the show just like the same situation in real life would work. The roommates dating doesn't work. The writers wrote it into the show, Schmit said it about a thousands times, and then they just ignored their own advice. Much like they are now ignoring Schmidt. It's a bummer.
