Considering trading in my truck

I currently own a 2011 Chevy Silverado Z71. Truck has 49k miles on it and is in great condition. Current job has me not maximizing the trucks abilities (I don't off road anymore and no hauling)
My question is, do I keep the truck and continue to burn money with gas, or trade it in for a car/hybrid SUV? I want to keep the truck, but not sure it is the smartest financial decision at the moment. Just an FYI, I own the truck out right.
Thanks for the help and any recommendations on a vehicle to transition too.

well, a couple of questions come into play...
how much money would you save in gas annually?
what do you like to do in your spare time...i.e. do you needd a truck or would you miss your truck if you get rid of it?....
