A&M has the top ranked PETE department in the country (well, it's a toss up between them and UT)

LSU is probably top 5 or 10, but there aren't a lot of schools that offer the degree.

Overall I think LSU has a good engineering program, with good industry support.

anywhere from 8-12 depending on what site you are looking at.

Colorado School of Mines may be top in the country.

ETA: In the eyes of industry at least. aTm a close second.
