Nobody fishes there because there is an underwater dam that is about 6 inches to 2 feet under water and will knock the hull out of any boat that tries to run across it. I used to stop my flat boat and drag it across because I knew it was there. Also keep in mind that there are A LOT of gators because the canals see so little traffic. The best way in with a yack is to drive under the I-10 to the levee wall. Lift the yack over the wall and jump the wall yourself and you will be right under I-10. That is where you want to fish, under the bridges.
