Yeah, unless you want to go tankless like that other poster it makes no sense. Hot water heaters can last a long time.

It's from like 1992. I'm just paranoid that it's going to bust and flood the house. I was told by the home inspector that it's on its last legs. I figured I'd be proactive and replace before it breaks. It's a relatively inexpensive improvement. I've got one quote at around $1200 for new 40gal Bradford White heater and installation. Is that high or pretty fair?
