Quality lifting shoes like Nike Romoloes have no gel/cushion and are solid flat surface simply on an incline to allow for proper trunk positioning. Try doing a proper chest up squat and keep your heels on the ground. 99.9% of people can't come close.
You lift through your heels and majority of peoe do t have the flexibility to lift through the heels and maintain proper chest/back position
