Do you bammers know how to proofread? It's the 2nd damn word of the article.

Damn fine store...just got home, got my 5 cream cheese king cakes, Abita Root beer and the big cans of Blue Runner Red Beans were only $1.67!! Its $3.59 at Winn Dixie! But the seafood...OMIGOD SLAP YOUR MOMMA WOW! Everything...everything had From the USA... No China, No Vietnam farm raised crap. And the line to the seafood counter was nuts! Produce selection very good even for organics. Deli/Bakery was its usual awesome Rouse's standard. Only negative for the store.. no buggy corrals out in the parking lot. Overall, BETTER than Publix and its the seafood counter that pushes them past Publix... Cant wait for the Old Shell Rd store to open on Weds.

I can't believe Rouse's is trying to take over the region. Mike da Tigah is gonna be so pissed and will boycott them.

I like them both. Publix has a far superior deli counter and quicky food section. Publix employees have always been great at every store. Rouse's varies wildly. I am glad Rouse's is expanding - they are a great store. I would love to have both options here on the Northshore.

The Mandeville Rouse's does not have cart corrals either. They know most Louisianians don't put up the carts anyways.

Your excitement in this thread is so high, it's borderline sarcastic.

I used to work in seafood for rouses. I'd be weary man. Looks fine and dandy in the case, but I don't trust all of their cuts. Absolutely never ever buy their whole fish. All cuts besides the catfish fillets/nuggets and tilapia are iqf. Including the 6.99 priced shrimp they put in that basket on the aisle. Can't wait for the season to open up. I refuse to pay 7 or 8 dollars a pound for 20-30 count.
