When LSU takes the field to open the 2016 season in Lambeau Field against Wisconsin we're going to have a hard time winning with only Clapp and Brumfield on the offensive line. This upcoming season is crucial towards getting the other three starters for that game. Is it just me or or others just a little concerned about only signing two offensive linemen in this class?

So, we didn't redshirt any offensive linemen this year? We didn't get any OLinemen in the 2013 class?

I think you mean 2017, but there is a lot of time between now and then.

We will be ok.

After the 2014 season, we will have these guys on the roster, assuming no other attrition:

1. Pocic
2. Hawkins
3. Austin
4. Dodd
5. Boutte
6. Malone
7. Brumfield
8. Clapp

Hawkins could conceivably leave after 2014, so there's a chance that list is down to seven. I think we may need to sign at least six o-linemen in 2015. Maybe even seven, depending.

I feel like the staff will not let this be a problem. Just have trust in the coaches

So who is LSU looking at and who do we have a legit shot with.

Maea Teuhema is on board.

Any shot of flipping Tillery?

Besides Tillery, there aren't that many highly rated guys in state. And regionally close guys will be very competitive. What are the names we should be looking at?

George Brown, OT Cincinnati, Ohio?
Matt Burrell, Jr., OT Woodbridge, Va?
Javon Patterson, OG Petal Ms?
Tyler Higby, OG Houston Tx?
Garrett Thomas, OG Many La?
Tyler Carr, OT Southside Al?
Drew Richmond, OT Memphis Tenn?
Adrian Magee, OT Franklinton La?
Grant Burguillos, OG Mandeville La?

What are the chances we get any of these guys?

What? So every guy from the 13 class will leave early? How do you know this?

I expect us to get 4-6 this year regardless, buy if those are the only 2 linemen left in 2016 we are fricked regardless of how many we take.

I say 6 if you include a big TE possible-conversion type. So 1 down, 5 to go.

You are 100 percent correct, and they have to be good players. We lose Collins, Porter, and possible Alexander and Hawkins. I think Hawkins will be back, so we would have Hawkins, maybe Alexander, Pocic, Boutte, Malone, Dodd, Clapp, Brosette, and I can't remember the St Aug kid's name. Not much depth.

I know LSU had a lot of guys leave early the last 2 years, but it is not literally every one. Of the 17-18 guys that went pro the last 2 years, but several of them, including 6 in 2013 were 4 year guys. And while there may be a surprise like Turner, LSU will have more than just 2 guys in 2016 that are on the current roster.

But to you question, yes OL will be a big priority and it has been discussed many times.

I don't know that every player from the 2013 class will leave early. But suppose they do?

What is all our QB's get hurt? Or all our RB's?

Any team that lost every single player from one position group early would be screwed. But seeing as not all of those will start, why would they all leave? They are not all going to leave after just 3 years, close to half of the early entries are 4 year players that were red shirted.

Minimum of 4
Maximum of 6

Want to make sure the guys are the right fit.

Grimes is leading the charge so I am confident.

We have a 5* ol locked up... And his 4* cousin. His brother is on board the 14 class. OL will still be a focal point. I'm pretty sure the coaches see what we all see.

Go look at the depth chart....we're fine on OL. Yes, we will need to replenish next recruiting cycle, but we aren't going to be recruiting guys in the 15 class to step in and play right away.
