Quit blaming someone else. That was poor defense, too much dribble penetration. More games will be lost if the other team shoots all night from the paint.

Poor defense begat bad calls which begat even worse defense.

The players effort and the refs can both share in the blame.

With no fouling at the end of the game the foul totals were 33 vs. 18.

Quite the spread there.

The refs deserve part of the blame. There are a number of reasons we lost, and they are part of it.

Officiating wasn't good, but UGA was definitely the more aggressive team.

They lived in the paint, nothing but good things were going to happen.

Refs were definitely not the cause for the loss.

Worst defensive effort I've seen from a basketball team in quite some time - at any level. Amazing how they played so well defensively the last few games. Having JobIII in foul trouble was a killer. He could not play aggressive the entire night. We'll be all right. Just stay out of foul trouble. To end on a positive I thought guards played very, very well.

i don't think people are blaming the loss on refs. I think they recognize the officiating was horrible. Lsu probably didn't deserve to win the game, however, the officiating was the worst i've ever seen. I've never seen a foul called nearly every time down court. It was even worse when players are purposely trying to get out of the way, players with the ball are purposely jumping into people and leaning into people hoping for a foul. That's sad.

We got destroyed in the paint, both offensively and defensively. Terrible showing, besides a few possessions.

They moved the ball very well and sliced our zone. We were very stagnant throwing up over 20 3pt attempts.

There are plenty of reasons why we lost, but agreed. I don't think we should put the blame squarely on the officiating, even though they were part of why we lost.

Yeah because our players were scared to play D because they would get called for a foul.

JOB- Fouled out
Shavon Coleman- Fouled out
Hickey- 4 Fouls
Mickey- 4 fouls
Martin- 4 Fouls

UGA shot 46 free throws and had 32 points from them. The refs were terrible

I completely agree that defense was lacking but seriously the difference in the FT attempts is absurd. UGA had 46 Free throws. they had 45 FG's attempted!!

Oh and UGA shot 60%

It was a terrible game to watch. The teams shot 68 free throws. Come on...that's pathetic.

UGA shot well/hustled and LSU didn't play that good. But when you have to bench your best player and lay off the press because every trip down the court results in a foul, you've got problems. LSU wasn't even playing that aggressive, yet were getting called for fouls constantly. The UGA guard threw himself into JOB to get a 4th foul on him.

This is ridiculous. People blaming CJJ. One poster said CJJ shoulda played zone to protect JOB. Hey dumbass, his 2 first half fouls we were in zone...way to pay attention.

21 fouls in the 2nd half. Shavon Coleman fouled out and didn't touch a player to do it. Every starter had at least 4 fouls and 2 fouled out. If they screened, we HAD to let them get in the lane otherwise it was a foul. Every time we hedged they purposely ran into our big men and got a foul. People who don't see how the officiating DIRECTLY had an effect on the defense clearly knows ZERO about basketball.

CJJ was very demonstrative at times at the refs, but what's he supposed to do? We're in a 7-8 point hole, you want him to get a technical and give them 2 more free throws? That's brilliant.

We lost because our best players, for that matter the entire team, was in significant foul trouble. You cant play defense when if you touch them it's a foul. I don't understand how people don't see that. Their 6'5 guard ducked his shoulder and ran into the lane...blocking foul every time on hickey or TQ. It was absolutely atrocious officiating

Which came first, the poor defense or the ref's quick whistle? I would argue that one reason the defense was so bad was because the officials called a horrible ticky-tack game on one side of the court.

LSU was so late off the screens and let UGA get past em. That first half was terrible to watch them go through the motions without any fire.

JOB commits two right off the bat and none of LSU's guys were in the game the first half. Without some good 3s, it would have been even worse.

Seems like that wanted to see just how little an effort they could give and still be in a position to win at the end.

Don't move your feet = getting a foul called with your hands.
